@@johnnyc.5979 not sure on that. Just a risk you take with any program same as using illustrator. If you don’t feel comfortable with a program don’t use it and try to read their terms and conditions if you can find it. This all seems to be an instant process and I doubt he has dedicated servers to storing info such as basic photos since that cost money. But definitely don’t use a program you don’t feel comfortable with. I’m just sharing something cool I came across.

How did you get the laser to keep the engraving depth level along the curve of the stock?
@@rudylara8722 there is a slight tolerance but technically it isn’t the same depth. It’s just strong enough setting with in that tolerance

Problem with the most of these "services" like the waveform or qr code you have to pay/subscribe to keep the link associated with that imagery (aka the waveform or qr code).
@@DavidClunie I’ve never had to pay for them in the past. With waveform we are just downloading and engraving the sound wave so that doesn’t expire since it’s an engraving. Then on the QR code site after looking at it some more looks like they changed to 100 free scans since I last used it so it looks like it is paid for hd now so here is another alternative www.qrcode-monkey.com I also used them with no issues of expiration as well. I added the new link to the description section as well thanks for letting me know of their updates to this.

Thank you for this. Thought I was going to go with the 20w for engraving. I thought it have a smaller head for more intricate cuts on glass. Looks like the 40w is actually better. Do you think the 40 can e grave in shot glasses?
@@nikkiahodge-drain4321 it will really come down to the settings for each machine but you can get good results. This was just showing the same settings between the two. Diode lasers tend to have a hard time with glass but there are tricks to pull it off. If you end up getting a WeCreat I would appreciate it if you could use my affiliate link, it would help me out a lot: shrsl.com/4hz29 Also another machine that would be better for glass is a co2 laser from xtool called the P2 which will have all the abilities of this and far more like acrylic but it cost more but will allow you to expand more over time. How did you make the 3d render of the graphic in illustrator?
@@AndrewPetzold I use the 3d window option in the drop down. Then mess with it until it looks good. Kind of a pain to mess with but works.
Thanks for this! After staining (oil based Minwax) I had second thoughts, and still do, about the flammable properties. Gonna trash that piece and stain after, too risky for my blood! Appreciate your point of view.
@@sprakkart no problem. If you let it dry really well you might be ok with just one board but I’d watch it like a hawk to be safe lol.

How did you get rid of the Wobble?
@@jagbuddy I just retighten the cup flush again. I noticed it was loose after filming that section so I make it flush in the chuck and tightened it again

Thank you for for all your hard work. Is there a way to zoom in and out without having to switch from select to pan and then back. My Coreldraw works by using the mouse wheel. Thank you again. I really love the videos they are very helpful. God Bless.
@@renderityourway1065 the mouse wheel zooms in and out on this program to in the area your mouse is at but it is not very efficient. I always have to switch to the pan to pan around too
If you hold the space bar down it will make your cursor a hand and you can move the canvas around that way.

What was the run time to engrave something that size?

Worth mentioning that maximum filament spool diameter for this dryer is 217mm, but all 3kg spools that I've used are 270mm in diameter. So it suits for standard 0.75-1kg spools only.
@@RomanDvoryadkin I have never used 3kg rolls so this I am unsure on this but based on their information on this unit it states it will fit one 3kg roll or two 1 kg rolls so that is what I was basing it off of. Good shout out if that is the case in this situation.

What material settings did you use? I can't get mine to engrave, same coins btw.
@@thomasboyd7170 I can’t remember off the top of my head. I thought I mentioned it on the video somewhere but I had to off set the height when I engraved it if you lower your focus height a little bit manually helps get it to engrave darker. I haven’t really engraved any since making these and forgot the settings I used.
This is great. Always nice to see product moving forward. Unfortunately the website doesn't have an option to filter material by machine, unless I am missing something. I'd love to just be able to go online click the F1 and find all the material you show here.
@@cottinghamr I noticed this too after filming the video, I just reached out to my contact at xTool about this and asked them for a direct link. Once I hear back from them I will add it to the description section above. Maybe they don’t have the site updated with it yet. I will keep you posted.

The battery hangers are a good idea the tool hanger not so much battery guides are made to hold a battery not the entire tool
Why can't you just put something...colored acylic or even something non transparent...to block that light? It wouldn't interefere with any operation, would it?

@@lloydgriffith if you’re referring to the focus light that wouldn’t work right because it would need to focus the correct height of the board.

@@hostesstwinky hmm that I’m not sure. I haven’t tried that. I would assume not in the same text path but if you created multiple sets of text you could line them up though to make it look and work the same.
@@FreshStartCustoms I have never had a laser, and the software is absolutely new to me. I did try two text boxes, but was unsuccessful. I only tried once, so I probably didn't do something right. I will try again after I get some other things done around the house. Thanks for the reply.
@@hostesstwinky no problem. I highly recommend getting a true vector program like illustrator or a free one like Inkscape and learning how to use those as they can do much more.
When leveling, remember that the Laser may be sitting on a surface that is not necessarily level. So the position of the level bubble on the tumbler should be the same as the position of the bubble on the laser module.
@@sgriffin130 true, I feel like all lasers should be on a level surface already however for best results.

@@boltgodzeus9021 it can take a decent amount of time depending on what type it is. I use illustrator to make them.
